This outstanding Early Years team is an ambitious and dynamic community of incredible people, creating magical moments and ‘rewilding childhood’ in this inner-city nursery. Fiercely proud of the children in its care, the team listens to and respects their young voices, celebrating their language in musical waves throughout the day. Chatter and laughter dance around the provision, and into the wider community through experiences such as the Intergenerational Care project. With safeguarding always at the forefront, children are active participants in the design of their own curriculum and confidently partake in decisions. They are supported to use tools and nurtured in engaging with risks, from using hammers and saws to building campfires. Leading with love, and taking an anti-racist stance on what is shared, the team works tirelessly and enthusiastically to inform, empower and collaborate with families and some exceptional external partners, including Leeds Trinity University students. This impressive team is cultivating the roots for all children to grow, develop and thrive.
