Brabyns Preparatory School in Marple is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious @ecoschools_england Green Flag accreditation as a result of the tireless work of their eco committee.

The Eco Team (ably assisted by EYFS and PHSE Lead Miss Pickford) coordinated activities in line with the Eco Schools initiative; empowering young people to make a difference in their school, local community and beyond. Children from Nursery through to Year 6 took part in litter picks around Marple, encouraged recycling initiatives in school, learnt about the impact of climate change as part of the curriculum and met with the local PCSO to discuss traffic issues in the area.

Thanks to the children’s hard work and commitment Brabyns can now proudly fly the coveted Eco Schools flag; and looks forward to continuing its ‘Eco’ focus over the new academic year.
