Spotlight on our Forest School Leader

Last Updated: 07 Apr 2026 @ 00:00 AM

Heather joined Dunky’s Forest School at Gulliver’s World, Warrington, in 2024.

As our Forest School Leader she’s a spark of creativity in the heart of the outdoors.

With a teaching qualification, a degree in Performing Arts, and a passion for nature, Heather turns every day into an adventure.

She weaves music, movement and acting into our daily routine, whether that’s starting the day with the cheerful rhythm of our Forest School chant as we gather for circle time, to helping stories to leap off the page.

Using natural materials and the forest as her stage, Heather encourages every child to explore, express themselves, and embrace creativity in a playful, hands-on way.

Heather, 24, said: "I always loved the idea of a career where I could help to inspire the next generation.

"Every day is full of energy, nature, fresh air and fun. We have loads of great activities for the children to enjoy, ranging from bear hunts and den building to searching for fairies, mud-pie making and discovering The Gruffalo.

"Our nursery at Gulliver’s World is extra special because we spend so much time outside in nature and we get to spot birds, foxes and squirrels."
