NURSERY NEWS –MARCH 2026

Our Room Topics –

Baby Moons – This month we have been exploring different textures and smells We have enjoyed playing in the water tray using flavoured tea and adding fruits such as lemons limes oranges & apples we also added some different types of shredded paper into our tuff tray to explore the different textures we also hid some animals for the children to find in the paper

Teenie Moons- This month is Teenie moons we have been exploring different emotions. In the garden We have been painting stones different colours to reflect the emotions. We have used the tuff tray to create emotions activity for example using different craft resources to make different emotions on paper. We enjoyed celebrating Chinese new year finding red envelops with good paper coins and different zodiac animals inside.

Mini Moons- This month the mini moons have been working on measuring. We have measured different lengths of items within the setting and compared each others heights too! The children have also been measuring in the water tray with the beakers and cylinders. For pancake day the mini moons all helped to mix the ingredients together to make some yummy pancakes, which they enjoyed for their snack! The children have also been showing an interest in the birds recently. We made some binoculars and went out to the garden to see if we could spy any, as well as hear them! This has extended into the children reading a book about birds and they even made their own using glue, paper and feathers!

Full Moons- This month in full moons we have been looking at healthy eating. We spoke about our favourite fruits and vegetables and where in the world they come from. We also looked at other ways we stay healthy and took part in some yoga and balancing activities! We then spoke about how we keep our teeth healthy and practiced brushing our teeth together.

Red Nose day – Wear anything red. We will also have red noses for sale at the door £2 a nose. – 20th and 21st of March 2026
