WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 1ST DECEMBER 2025

Next week we will be -

Clever Cats & Clever Kittens This week in Preschool the children have been looking at triangle and circular signs to find out about information and warnings. The children have been making their own warning signs and reminding themselves about running feet might lead to falling. They have also looked at how to stay safe in the class. For the next couple of weeks we will be getting ready for Christmas. Our letter of the week next week is J and we will be learning the story of how Jesus came into the world. We will be singing songs to go along with the story and exploring the ideas within the story such as journeys and babies arriving in the family.

Ladybirds Next week in Ladybirds, the children will be exploring Scottish colours, listening to gentle Scottish music, and taking part in fun activities like dancing and sensory play. We will be sharing a little bit of Scottish culture expressing this in our tuff tray using oats as a sensory and messy activity, the children will be able to use their gross and fine motor skills.

Butterflies Next week in the Baby Room we will be celebrating St Andrew’s Day. For this we will be setting up a tuff tray with blue and white materials inspired by the Scottish flag for the children to explore and investigate. Over the weekend, the Christmas fairies will be visiting our room to sprinkle a little festive magic.
