WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 17TH NOVEMBER 2025

Clever Cats & Clever Kittens This week in Preschool we have been enjoying the preparation for Remembrance Day, making lots of poppies to go in our own memorial. Also noticing patterns especially spots ready for Children in Need.

Next week we will be enjoying National Nursery Rhyme week and laying foundations for the tunes of our Christmas Nativity story songs - with This Old Man, Ring a Ring o' Roses, Mulberry Bush and Three Blind Mice. We will be telling the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears and singing the song to go with and noticing the small medium and large sizes of bowls, bears and cushions. It’s Anti Bullying week so we will continue the superpower theme with ‘Kindness Is A Superpower’ story.

Ladybirds Next week is Nursery Rhyme Week, we will be getting involved and singing different nursery rhymes using our creativity with the different actions! Each day we’ll explore a favourite rhyme, helping children build language skills, rhythm, and confidence. We will be talking about kindness and caring linking with Anti- Bullying week and children are welcome to wear odd socks through the week we can’t wait to spot the odd socks! ??

Butterflies Next week in the Baby Room, we’ll be celebrating Nursery Rhyme Week with lots of fun and music! Each day, we’ll focus on a different classic rhyme, using songs, stories and activities to bring them to life. The babies will have plenty of opportunities to sing, move and explore. We’ll also be using props, puppets, and musical instruments to encourage early language development and joyful engagement with rhythm and rhyme.
