WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 3RD NOVEMBER 2025

Next week we will be -

Clever Cats Next week, we will be looking at Bonfire Night. We will be looking at the concept of fire and exploring the different colours that we can see. We will be dancing around the room with scarves, imagining how we think a firework would move. We will be talking about how to keep safe around a fire and who can help us be safe. We will be practising our mark making skills, drawings the patterns that a firework follows.

Clever Kittens and Ladybirds Next week the children within the Toddler Room are going to be exploring Bonfire Night.

The children are going to be creating their own firework displays using a range of tools, materials and actions such as kitchen roll tubes and paintbrushes and will be printing and flicking to create different effects.

The children are also going to be creating their own bonfires using tissue paper and will be exploring colour during water and sand play.

The children will also be learning and using some new vocabulary - ‘Firework’, ‘Bonfire’, ‘Sparkle’, ‘Loud’ as they observe a firework display.

  Butterflies Next week we will be exploring Bonfire Night, the babies will be exploring light and dark and a range of different sounds that are loud and quiet. To help us to develop our gross motor skills we will be using colourful fabric to wave around to mimic fireworks.
