WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 13TH OCTOBER 2025

Next week we will be -

Clever Cats Next week, we are going to be looking at recycling. We will be talking about what this is and why we do this. We will be also be looking at what items can be recycled and creating our own recycling bins in the room. We will also be upcycling some of them items by making some crafty things such as musical instruments and bird feeders. If you have any recyclable items such as bottles and cardboard, please send them in.

Clever Kittens and Ladybirds Next week the focus of learning within the Toddler Room is all about Recycling Week ?? 

The children are going to be working together to save their environment through play. Practitioners will provide children with a range of plastic materials within their water and sand tray for children to explore use of appropriate resources to scoop/dig out. Resources include a fishing net for the water and spades and scoops for the sand. 

The children are also going to be looking at categorising objects according to their recyclable properties, eg. Paper, plastic.    Butterflies Next week we will be exploring recyclable materials such as cardboard boxes, bottles and egg cartons. We will be using these to build and create different simple structures and to make our own musical instruments with them. Finally we will be exploring the different textures of the recyclable materials.
