WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 8TH SEPTEMBER 2025

What we will be learning this week -

Clever Cats & Clever Kittens This week the Clever Cats and Clever Kittens will be focusing on the topic ‘All About Me’. The children will be making self portraits focusing on their own features and how they see themselves. We will also be using ‘Mr Potato Head’ to learn about similarities and differences. In the construction area, the Clever Cats and Clever Kittens will be using megablocks to make people that are close to them such as family members. Our books of the week will be ‘Monty Mouse’s First Day’ and ‘My Class Is A Family’.

Ladybirds This week in Ladybirds we are focusing on “All About Me”. We are welcoming in all our friends back from the summer holidays and new faces too. The Ladybirds will be exploring different skin tones/hair colours of friends and families. We will also be looking at different emotions as we welcome the children into the Ladybird room. The book of the week we will be reading is ‘The Big Book Of Feelings’.

Butterflies This week in the Baby Room, we will be welcoming new babies. Our focus will be on building relationships with all the children, familiarising ourselves with each child's needs and interests.
