WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - JULY 7TH

Next week we will be -

Graduates Next week we are going to be looking at the different schools we are going to and the differences. We will be comparing our schools and talking about our new teachers! We will also be making decorations for our Graduation! Our book of the week is “Colette Goes To School” and our song of the week is “Rights Respecting Song”.

Clever Cats Next week will be continuing with 2D shapes and the different properties. The Clever Cats will also be enjoying a Teddy Bears’ picnic on our daily mile. The children will help prepare the food and also discuss healthy and not healthy options. Our book of the week is “Delightfully Different Yaryo” and our song of the week is “The Square Song”.

Clever Kittens Next week the Clever Kittens will be creating self portraits, looking in the mirror and noticing the difference between themselves and their friends. The Clever Kittens will also be setting up a Teddy Bears’ Picnic in the garden, and enjoying a story. Our book of the week is “Oliver’s Vegetable Patch” and our song of the week is “Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear Turn Around”.

Ladybirds Next week the Ladybirds will be looking at Teddy Bears’ Picnic, we will be having our own Teddy Bears’ Picnic in the garden and looking at healthy foods. We will be focusing on learning some finger rhymes with numbers including ‘Round And Round The Garden. Throughout the week, the children will be building their independence though setting up the table for dinner and helping to set up for the picnic. We will also be working on making marks to create a picnic invitation to take home, developing to be able to intentionally make marks!

Butterflies Next week, the Butterflies will concentrate on their senses. The babies will explore a fruit-themed tuff tray and try different textures and flavours. Throughout the week, the babies will also develop their grasp and practice picking up objects and passing them from one hand to the other. Finally, we will be practising nursery rhymes, for example, ‘Round And Round The Garden, Like A Teddy Bear…’
