Clever Cats

Next week we will be learning all about Black History month, the children will be exploring the different food, traditions and celebrations of their culture. We will also be exploring traditional clothing worn in other countries. Finally the children will having a go at creating their own flags. 

Clever Kittens and Ladybirds

Next week the children within the 2-3’s classroom are exploring and learning all about Autumn   The children are going to be going on an Autumn scavenger hunt within our outdoor environment and are going to be looking for Autumnal objects such as a red leaf, green leaf, orange leaf, pinecone, twig, puddle, clouds and more! Using the Autumnal objects collected on our scavenger hunt, the children will then be encouraged to create a beautiful Autumn collage using paint and a range of mark making methods including printing, shaking and rolling. 

Butterflies

This week we are going to focusing on exploring BUBBLES and using this to develop our speech. At home you can blow bubbles and pop them gentle, watch together as they fall. You can use language such as ‘POP’ ‘BUBBLE’ and ‘BIG’.

If your child likes the bubbles encourage them to use words such as ‘more’. Your child might enjoy having a go at blowing the bubbles themselves, use praise to encourage them to keep trying even if they find it difficult. .
