What We Are Learning - 19th August

Clever Cats/Clever Kittens

This week in Clever Cats we are going to continue learning about shapes but now we are introducing shapes such as pentagons, hexagons and octagons. We will also be having a try at drawing some patterns, practicing our pincer grip. Our book of the week is “listening to my body” and our song of the week is the boundary song. 

The Clever kittens will be looking at shapes too, the Clever Kittens will be starting off looking at squares, circles, triangles and rectangles. The Clever Kittens will also be using different materials to create self portraits, gaining a sense of self. Our book of the week is “ten little monkeys” and our song of the week is head, shoulders, knees and toes. 

Ladybirds

This week the Ladybirds will be focusing on emotions, they will be reading the colour monster book and looking at the different emotions while recognising the different facial expressions that are present when feeling these emotions.   Butterflies

This week the Butterflies will be focusing on physical development and gaining more control over their whole bodies by crawling and moving over tyres and other objects.
