Football fever was underway at Julia Durbin Day Nursery in Headington as children and colleagues took part in a series of activities to celebrate the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament.

Dressed in their football kits for the occasion, pre-schoolers and practitioners were delighted to take part in football games in the garden to showcase their talents and build upon gross motor skills, whilst children also took part in activities to find out more about the countries taking part, using an array of resources including globes, books and the interactive board.

As part of the festivities, colleagues also organised a staff sweepstake and families made contributions where possible, all to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Julia Durbin Charity Representative, Emma Parry explained;

“Everyone had a brilliant time taking part in the Football Kit Friday initiative and embracing the spirit of the competition. Events like these not only bring joy to children but also help instil a sense of community and teamwork from a young age. Plus, it's a great way to promote physical activity and healthy competition in a fun and engaging way.”
