There were smiles all round at Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon as children embarked on an important mission to spread joy in the community with random acts of kindness.
Armed with bunches of daffodils with messages of positivity attached, pre-schoolers from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery set off with practitioners to deliver them to nearby residents, members of the public and companies around Windmill Hill Business Park, all with the intention of bringing smiles to the faces of local people ahead of the Easter break.
Messages attached to the daffodils included; “We hope this brightens up your day! Enjoy this random act of kindness. Make the world a better place and put a smile on someone’s face!”
Windmill Hill Day Nursery Manager, Kayleigh Blaylock explained;
“It was so lovely to see the faces of our neighbours light up as the children handed out their flowers and the joy this brought to them. Our little ones couldn’t wait to tell their families and were so proud to have spread happiness to so many people. We hope teaching them these lessons of kindness and compassion for others will stay with them for a lifetime.”
