Three Rushcliffe Nurseries rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted

All three of Grandir UK’s Rushcliffe nurseries based in Nottingham have achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted.

Ruddington Day Nursery & Preschool and Ryan House Day Nursery & Preschool have retained an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating for many years, and Radcliffe-On-Trent Day Nursery & Preschool have now increased their ‘Good’ rating to an ‘Outstanding’ one in their latest inspection on the 12th October 2023.

Radcliffe-On-Trent Day Nursery & Preschool achieved ‘Outstanding’ across all areas of inspection including Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development and Leadership & Management.

‘Children's language development is given the highest priority’, states the Ofsted inspector. The nursery team have shown that they can recognise and seize opportunities to engage children in lively conversation and build on their skills and vocabulary. Children show high levels of engagement as they communicate with one another and staff, using words creatively to express and explain their thinking.

The report comments that ‘partnerships with parents and other professionals are exceptionally strong’. Parents comments that the Radcliffe nursery and preschool is an 'excellent provision', and they feel reassured that they received the 'personal touch' that staff provide. Parents and carers praise the nursery staff saying that they can recognise their child's strengths and provide activities that specifically challenge their abilities.

The inspector noted that the nursery team ‘encourage children to be highly inquisitive and curious’. Children are able to demonstrate this as they turn over logs to observe which creatures might be living underneath, introducing in-depth conversations about animal habitats and caring for living things help children to ‘develop a deep appreciation of the awe and wonder of the world around them’.

Located in the heart of the village of the same name close to Nottingham, the high-quality 64-place setting provides a “nurturing and harmonious environment” which “helps children thrive and reach their full potential."
