Chestnuts Quedgeley provide “Secure Foundations for Learning” says Ofsted

We are glad to announce that Chestnuts Quedgeley were awarded a ‘Good’ rating following their most recent Ofsted inspection.

The official report which went live this month (January 2024) praises staff for their ability to provide a ‘calm and well organised learning environment’ which is inspired by the interests of children within their care.

This includes outdoor learning experiences which allow children to ‘benefit from fresh air and exercise’ as they ‘develop independence’ by adapting to different environments. It is also noted that both children and staff at the setting are ‘valued as unique individuals’ as they are encouraged to share cultures and traditions from home.

Reacting to the report, Nursery Manager, Jade Porter, thanked the exceptional commitment, care and professionalism of her staff. “To hear the hard work that the team puts in every day has been recognised is a great source of pride for us all here at Chestnuts Quedgeley” she said.
