About the Nursery
A small, welcoming nursery with a genuine home-from-home feel, offering a warm and personal environment where children, families and colleagues really get to know one another.
- Intimate, two-room setting for under- and over-2s
- Small, close-knit staff team
- Lovely large garden and outdoor space
- Part of a community building, giving the nursery a unique and welcoming feel
- Close to another nursery within the group, allowing both teams to collaborate and support one another
- Exciting opportunity to be part of the nursery's continued growth and development
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on Deputy Manager position where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact.
As a smaller setting, the Deputy will be room-based and actively involved with the children and team day-to-day. It's perfect for someone who wants to progress into management while still remaining close to the children and the part of Early Years they love most.
You'll work closely with the wider leadership team to support the day-to-day running of the nursery, develop the team and help drive the setting forward.
There is also a strong focus on growing the nursery and building its presence within the local community, giving you the opportunity to get involved in open days, parent engagement and showcasing the setting to prospective families.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Is genuinely passionate about Early Years and delivering high-quality childcare
- Loves being hands-on and actively involved within the rooms
- Is confident supporting and helping lead a small team
- Brings energy, ideas and a proactive approach
- Is ready to develop their leadership and management experience
- Can help maintain a warm, cosy and nurturing environment
- Enjoys building relationships with children, families and the wider community
- Is excited by the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of a nursery
A Great Next Step
This could be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Room Leader or Third in Charge who is ready to step into Deputy Management.
The smaller setting offers the chance to gain exposure to the wider responsibilities of nursery leadership while remaining hands-on, supported by an experienced wider team.
It's an opportunity to grow with the nursery, develop your management experience and have a real influence on the setting's future.
