Salary: £14.50 – £15.50 per hour (approx. £28,275 – £30,225 per annum)

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner at Awesome Daycare, you will be a valued and central member of our team. You will act as Key Person for an identified group of children, building meaningful relationships with both children and their families, and delivering engaging, high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework 2026.

What You Will Be Doing

•  Acting as Key Person for an identified group of children, supporting their individual development, wellbeing, and learning

•  Planning and delivering creative, engaging, and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework 2026

•  Carrying out observations, assessments, and next steps planning for your key children

•  Providing warm, informative daily updates to parents and carers at collection time

•       In conjunction with the team, ensure the setting is safe, welcoming, and ready for the day

•  Working collaboratively with the wider team to maintain a high-quality, inclusive, and nurturing environment

•  Always upholding the nursery’s safeguarding and child protection standards

About You

•  Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or equivalent (e.g. CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, BTEC National)

•  Have experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting

•  Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework 2026

•  Are warm, nurturing, reliable, and genuinely passionate about early years

•  Hold a current enhanced DBS (or are willing to undergo one), current Paediatric First Aid, and current safeguarding training or are willing to undertake training

•  Are a strong team player with excellent communication skills
