Toddler Room Leader – Join Our Team

Bright Gems Nursery Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and experienced Toddler Room Leader to join our dedicated team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about early years education and enjoys creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow and develop.

About the Role

As a Toddler Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day running of the toddler room, supporting your team and ensuring the children receive high-quality care and learning experiences.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting the toddler room team
  • Planning and providing engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Completing observations, assessments and children's development records
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and stimulating learning environment
  • Supporting staff development and ensuring nursery policies and procedures are followed
  • Acting as a positive role model and promoting high standards of care and practice

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified to Level 3 or above in Early Years Education/Childcare
  • Experienced working with toddlers and confident leading a room or team
  • Warm, caring and passionate about working with young children
  • Confident in planning and delivering engaging activities
  • Organised, reliable and able to work as part of a team
  • Knowledgeable about the EYFS and safeguarding
  • A strong communicator with children, parents and colleagues
  • Committed to providing the highest standard of care and education

Skills / Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare – essential
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an early years/nursery setting
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Nursery Practitioner – desirable
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Paediatric First Aid – desirable/essential depending on nursery requirements
  • Safeguarding training – essential
  • Food Hygiene – desirable
  • Prevent Duty and FGM awareness – desirable
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent – desirable
  • A clear understanding of health and safety procedur
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development
  • Enhanced DBS check required
  • Right to work in the UK
