Nursery Chef

Tik Tak Childcare is looking for a reliable, caring person to prepare meals and help keep our nursery clean and welcoming. We care for approximately 40 children, from babies to pre-school age.

You will prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, adapting food to children’s ages, allergies and dietary needs. You will also keep the kitchen clean and organised, maintain food safety records, and carry out daily housekeeping tasks around the nursery.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience preparing food for groups of children or in a similar kitchen setting

• Understands food hygiene, allergens and safe food preparation

• Can organise a busy day and work well with nursery staff

• Takes pride in keeping shared spaces clean and safe

• Has a warm, patient approach to young children

Relevant food hygiene training is welcome. The successful candidate will be required to complete the nursery’s safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
