The Role

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Level 2 Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team.

You will play an important role in providing high-quality care, supporting children’s development and creating fun, engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support for children aged 0–5 years
• Support the planning and delivery of fun, stimulating activities in line with the EYFS
• Build positive and nurturing relationships with children and their families
• Support children’s learning, development and individual needs
• Contribute to observations, assessments and children’s development records
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming and inclusive environment
• Work closely with colleagues to support the smooth running of the nursery
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies and procedures
• Support children to develop their confidence, independence and social skills

Requirements

Essential

• A full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
• Previous experience working with children in an early years setting
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A caring, patient and positive approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

Desirable

• Paediatric First Aid
• Safeguarding training
• Experience using observation and planning systems
• Previous experience working with children aged 0–5
