We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and caring Nursery Manager to lead Birkbees Day Care Centre.

The role you'll play

This is much more than keeping the day-to-day nursery running smoothly.

As Nursery Manager, you'll set the tone for your setting. You'll inspire your team, champion excellent early years practice and make sure every child receives the care, attention and opportunities they deserve.

You'll take responsibility for the overall running of the nursery, maintaining high standards across care, education, safeguarding, staffing and the nursery environment.

A big part of your role will be bringing out the best in your team. You'll provide guidance, encouragement and clear leadership, helping practitioners develop their confidence, knowledge and skills.

You'll also build positive relationships with our parents and families, ensuring they feel welcomed, listened to and confident in the care we provide.

Working alongside our wider Birkbees team, you'll continually look at how your nursery can develop and improve – keeping standards high and ensuring the setting is ready to demonstrate excellent practice whenever Ofsted visits.

Is this you?

We're looking for someone who already understands what it takes to lead within an early years environment.

You'll need to have:

• A minimum Level 3 UK-recognised Early Years qualification
• Previous management or senior leadership experience within a nursery or early years setting
• A strong and current understanding of the EYFS
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
• The confidence to lead, motivate and support a team
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• High expectations for yourself and the people around you
• A genuine passion for providing children with an outstanding start in life
