With the ongoing growth of Kids Planet, we are delighted to announce that we are looking to grow our Internal Training and Development Team. With safeguarding at the heart of the role, you will deliver impactful training that equips colleagues with the knowledge, skills and confidence to fulfil their responsibilities effectively. You will ensure learning remains relevant, engaging and aligned with current legislation, guidance and best practice.

 

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assess and support safeguarding practice across Kids Planet nurseries, working in close collaboration with Operations, Training, and the Early Years Department, as well as the Academy where appropriate.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging safeguarding training to early years teams through a blended approach, including face-to-face sessions, webinars, e-learning, coaching, mentoring, and regional roadshows.
  • Design and develop sector-leading safeguarding CPD programmes, creating bespoke content that reflects current legislation, guidance, and best practice within early years safeguarding.
  • Ensure all safeguarding training meets statutory requirements, responding proactively to common themes, risks, and trends identified through internal audits, inspections, and external safeguarding partners.
  • Foster a safe, reflective learning environment that supports practitioners to build confidence in safeguarding practice, including recognising, reporting, and responding to concerns.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the impact of safeguarding training, ensuring measurable improvements in knowledge, confidence, and practice across nursery teams.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality, accessible e-learning and inspirational CPD opportunities that promote a strong safeguarding culture across the organisation.
  • Build a safeguarding community of practice across nurseries, ensuring training is inclusive, relevant, and responsive to the diverse needs of children, families, and colleagues.

The ideal applicant will possess: 

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years
  • Experience of designing/ delivering training 
  • Excellent ICT and communication skills are essential
  • Hold solid occupational competency within Early Years Childcare 
  • Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle 

The role is field-based and will require significant amounts of travel and occasional overnight stays away from home. The role holder is required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business; this will include some evening or weekend work to facilitate our Nurseries Communities to engage with their Continuous Professional Development.
