Nursery Manager

Monday to Friday 35 hours per week, term time only (42 weeks) 

Woodroyd Nursery and Children’s Centre is an independent registered charity delivering Ofsted-rated Outstanding early years education and is currently seeking an inspiring and experienced Nursery Manager to provide strong leadership and drive excellence across the setting.

About the role

As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of childcare, safeguarding, learning, and development are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years provision.
• Ensure compliance with EYFS requirements, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
• Support, supervise, and develop staff through regular training and performance management.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
• Oversee nursery administration, record-keeping, and operational procedures.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing across the setting.
• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the nursery's strategic development.
• Act as the main point of contact between the nursery and the Board of Directors, ensuring they are kept informed of key developments, challenges, and opportunities within the setting.
