Senior Early Years Practitioner / Room Leader

Monday - Friday, 33.75 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)

Woodroyd Nursery and Children's Centre is an independent registered charity delivering Ofsted-rated Outstanding early years education. We are seeking a caring and experienced Senior Early Years Practitioner / Room Leader to join our dedicated team in the preschool room.

About the role

As a Room Leader, you will lead a nursery room, support staff, and ensure high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage the daily running of the room.
• Deliver high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements, ensuring the room consistently meets regulatory standards and contributes positively to inspections.
• Support, supervise, and motivate room staff.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed.
• Act as a key person and support children's individual learning and development needs.
