Nursery of Happy Stories has been open for less than five months and has already grown to over 30 children. With projections showing occupancy exceeding 50 children by September, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Assistant Nursery Manager to support our leadership team during this exciting period of growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious early years professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding childcare, supporting staff development, and helping to drive a thriving nursery forward.

Key Responsibilities
-
Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery
-
Lead and inspire staff to deliver exceptional care and education
-
Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements

Assist with staff supervision, training, and performance management
-
Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and staff
-
Support occupancy growth and maintain high standards throughout the nursery
-
Help prepare for Ofsted inspections and ensure regulatory compliance
-
Act as the nursery lead in the manager's absence
Essential Requirements
-
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare

Previous experience in a senior room leader, deputy manager, assistant manager, or nursery management role

Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements

Good understanding of Ofsted standards and inspection processes

Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

Passion for delivering high-quality early years education and care

Experience supporting nursery growth and occupancy targets

Previous involvement in Ofsted inspections
