About Us
Nursery of Happy Stories is an exciting and rapidly growing early years setting. Having been open for less than five months, we have already welcomed over 30 children and are projected to exceed 50 children by September. We are looking for an exceptional, experienced, and ambitious Nursery Manager / Operations Director to lead our team through this exciting growth phase and help shape the future of our nursery.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding leadership and management across the nursery
- Ensure full compliance with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of childcare professionals
- Drive nursery growth while maintaining exceptional standards of care and education
- Manage staffing, recruitment, training, and performance
- Build strong relationships with parents, families, and the local community
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections
- Monitor budgets, occupancy levels, and operational performance
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are maintained at all times
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare
- Proven experience in a senior nursery management role
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and childcare regulations
- Excellent understanding of Ofsted requirements and inspection processes
- Track record of successfully managing teams and nursery operations
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for children
Desirable
- Experience leading a growing or multi-site nursery setting
- Previous experience achieving Outstanding Ofsted ratings
- Business development and occupancy growth experience
