We’re looking for a warm, experienced, and motivated Nursery Manager to lead our much loved and high-quality nursery, Headstart On The Hill. About the Role
As our Nursery Manager, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can learn, grow, and shine. You’ll lead a dedicated team of practitioners, champion high-quality early education and care, and help shape the ongoing development of our welcoming setting.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and inspire a caring and committed nursery team
- Ensure the nursery consistently meets EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding standards
- Oversee planning, observations, and assessments to support each child’s unique learning journey
- Build warm, trusting partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies
- Manage staffing, occupancy, and budgets effectively
- Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the nursery’s long-term vision
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5+ preferred)
- 2+ years’ experience as a Nursery Manager, or strong experience as a Deputy Manager
- Level 3 Maths qualification
- Excellent knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional care and education
