Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and educational activities to children, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about child development and early years education to make a positive impact on young children's lives. The successful candidate will also be the appointed person in charge in the manager's absence.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate learning activities that support children's developmental needs
- Provide high standards of care, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your supervision
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Support children's emotional and social development through nurturing interactions and behaviour management strategies
- Lead by example in promoting inclusive practices and encouraging children's independence
- Assist with organising nursery routines, including meal times, naps, and play sessions
- Contribute to the overall organisation of the nursery environment to ensure it remains safe, clean, and stimulating
- Act as the lead for safeguarding in the manager’s absence
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education recognised by relevant authorities
- Proven experience working within a nursery setting or similar childcare environment
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff and support team development
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of current childcare legislation, policies, and best practices
- A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
- Passionate about early childhood development with a caring and professional attitude
- Experience in leadership and team management skills
