Willows Farm Day Nursery focus on nature based play, and outdoor learning. We follow a child led curiosity approach to children's development.

We are looking for a committed and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our lovely team, working on a fixed shift of 8am-2pm, Mon-Fri during school holidays only.

Job Summary

· Assist with the day to day running of the kitchen

· Help prepare and present a freshly cooked meals, including a dessert for the children in our care.

· Adhere strictly to Food Hygiene Regulations and other safety procedures at all times.

· Ensure that food is served promptly to each room/ site at the following times unless otherwise stated by the Kitchen Manager

· Prepare adequate portion sizes to meet the children’s individual needs, ensuring there is always the option for second servings

· Never allow children into the kitchen.

· Daily clearing up and cleaning of the kitchen

· Help with any other duties at the request of the Kitchen Manager

You will have previous experience in this type of position, as a Kitchen Assistant. The ideal candidate should have worked in a similar environment (Nursery/School/Retirement home etc).
