About Awesome Daycare

Awesome Daycare is a new nursery in North London with a genuine passion for early years education and a strong commitment to growing the next generation of childcare professionals.

We are at the start of something exciting. Having recently opened, we are building our team from scratch — and we want our apprentices to be part of that journey from the very beginning. We do not see apprentices as extra pairs of hands. We see them as future practitioners, future room leaders, and future managers. We invest in our people properly: with excellent training, consistent mentoring, and genuine opportunities for progression and promotion as you grow in confidence and qualification.

Joining Awesome Daycare as an apprentice means joining a supportive, ambitious team that will be with you every step of the way — from your very first day in the nursery to the moment you achieve your Level 3 and beyond.

What Is a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship?

This is a paid apprenticeship where you earn a salary whilst working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (IfATE Standard ST0119). You will spend the majority of your time working in our nursery, gaining hands-on experience with children from birth to five, whilst completing off-the-job training with our apprenticeship training provider.

By the end of the programme (typically 12–18 months), you will be a fully qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator — a qualification that opens the door to a rewarding and meaningful career. Paediatric First Aid is included as a mandatory part of the qualification.

The Role

As an Early Years Educator Apprentice, you will be a valued and supported member of our nursery team from day one. Working alongside our qualified practitioners, you will:

•  Support the delivery of high-quality care and education for children from birth to five, in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework 2025

•  Help plan, prepare, and deliver creative and engaging learning activities that reflect each child’s interests and next steps

•  Observe and assess children’s development and contribute to their learning journals under the guidance of your mentor

•  Build warm, trusting relationships with children and their families, contributing to daily feedback at collection time

•  Support children’s health, wellbeing, and personal care needs

•  Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection practice at all times

•  Complete all elements of your apprenticeship within the agreed timeframe, including off-the-job training and portfolio work

About You

You do not need previous childcare experience to apply. What matters most is your passion for working with children and your commitment to learning and growing. We are looking for someone who is:

•  Genuinely enthusiastic about a career working with young children

•  Warm, caring, patient, reliable, and a supportive team player

•  Committed to completing the apprenticeship to the highest standard

•  Holding GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, or willing to achieve Functional Skills Level 2 as part of the programme

•  Willing to work hard, ask questions, and make the most of every learning opportunity

Previous experience, a current DBS, or a Paediatric First Aid certificate are a bonus but not essential — we will support you to obtain all of these as part of the apprenticeship.

What We Offer

•  Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage, reviewed annually

•  The chance to be a founding apprentice at a new nursery and grow with us from the very beginning

•  A dedicated workplace mentor and a genuinely supportive team around you every step of the way

•  Excellent training and structured development throughout the programme and beyond

•  Real opportunities for progression and promotion once you qualify — we promote from within wherever we can

•  Regular supervision and feedback so you always know how you are doing and what support is available

•  37.5 contracted hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a shift pattern

•  Statutory annual leave — leave year runs 1st September to 31st August

•  Auto-enrolment workplace pension

•  The opportunity to launch a meaningful and rewarding career in early years education with a company that genuinely invests in its people
