Job summary
Join and Lead Our Team at Rossall Nursery
As Nursery Manager, you will lead the delivery of exceptional care and education, ensuring the highest standards are maintained. You will work as part of the wider school leadership structure, contributing to a shared vision and ensuring that the Nursery operates as an integral part of Rossall School.
Purpose of the Post
To lead and manage the day-to-day running of the Nursery, ensuring a caring, safe, secure and stimulating environment in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
To ensure that the Nursery operates fully in line with whole-school policies, procedures, and strategic direction, recognising that it is an integral part of Rossall School and not a standalone provision.
To report directly to the Head of EYFS and Head of Preparatory School, ensuring that all operational and strategic decisions are aligned with whole-school priorities and agreed in advance.
To ensure the Nursery remains compliant and inspection-ready at all times, meeting statutory requirements and maintaining high standards of care and education.
The position is full-time, all year round. The normal hours of work are 42 per week, Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be required occasionally to attend events in the evenings and weekends.
The salary is expected to be £34,000 - £37,000 per annum, depending on experience, skills and qualifications. Holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum plus 8 Bank Holidays.

Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a nursery or early childhood education setting
- A relevant qualification at Level 3 or higher
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
