At Wellesbourne Nursery, we’re looking for an enthusiastic Preschool Room Leader to guide and support our team in providing outstanding care and education. In this rewarding leadership role, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor, nurture, and create a positive impact for children, families, and your colleagues.
To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) along with previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
SENCO qualification preferable but not essential.

Pay: £30,326 per annum (40 hours per week)
Working Hours: Full-time over 4 days per week, Monday
to Friday. 38 hours (8am-6pm) or 40 hours (7.30am--6.00pm)

About our Nursery
Our beautiful nursery in Wellesbourne offers a premium nursery
experience with 3 additional enhancements. Forest School, Organic
lifestyle and Cookery. Our Wellesbourne nursery children love their
days with us and set out on the next stage of their education equipped
with the life-long skills gained from being in a Forest School and
organic growing environment, as well as confidence around cookery and
handling ingredients. Each room has its own dedicated outdoor space
that the children have access to all day, every day. Located on the
Wellesbourne campus of Warwick University HRI, on Charlecote Road,
just off the A429. There is ample parking on-site, with a car park on
campus.
What being a Nursery Room Leader involves
As a Nursery Room Leader, you will work alongside the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while delivering exceptional care and education. Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and mentoring the team to provide high-quality early years
education with passion and energy.
• Supporting the Nursery
Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent
quality.
• Acting as a role model by promoting initiative,
creativity, and high standards of care.
• Building strong
relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to
support the best outcomes for children.
• Overseeing the team’s
implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning
opportunities.
• Taking charge of nursery operations in the
Nursery Manager’s absence.
• Encouraging continuous improvement
through feedback and supporting professional development.

Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets
each child’s needs.
