We’re Hiring: Room Leader – Oaklands Nursery 

Oaklands Nursery is looking for a confident and experienced Room Leader to take ownership of a room and lead a team to deliver consistent, high-quality practice. This role suits someone who is organised, accountable, and comfortable managing both people and standards.

The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding are maintained at all times.

You will lead your team, manage staff deployment, oversee planning and observations, and ensure children’s development is tracked and supported effectively. You will also build strong relationships with parents, manage room organisation, and ensure compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

Job Skills / Qualifications
Level 3 Early Years Qualification (full and relevant), strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, and clear safeguarding awareness. Experience leading a room within a nursery setting and supporting staff performance. Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to plan, monitor, and deliver high-quality practice. Good understanding of child development and the ability to lead by example with a professional and reliable approach.
