Job summary
Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young
children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating
environment that promotes the development and well-being of children
in our care. You will play a vital role in supporting children's
learning through play, fostering their curiosity, and encouraging
their social skills.
Duties
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that cater to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
- Observe and assess children's progress, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Manage classroom behaviour in a fair and consistent manner, promoting respect and cooperation among children.
- Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of care provided.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and progress, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications
- A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience working with young children is essential.
- Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire both children and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for early years education, with the ability to drive children's learning through play-based activities.
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices related to early years education.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to manage responsibilities independently.
