Nursery Room Leader (2–5 Years)

Location: St John’s Wood, North London
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, 51 weeks per year

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Room Leader to join our dedicated team at our beautifully nursery in St John’s Wood. Our nursery provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 6 months to 5 years, and we’re proud to be an integral part of the local community in St Johns Wood

As the Room Leader for our 2–5 years room, you’ll play a vital role in shaping children’s early learning experiences while leading and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional care and education.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the daily running of the room, ensuring a safe, engaging and nurturing environment
• Plan and deliver inspiring, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Support and mentor your team with guidance, feedback and professional development
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers
• Maintain accurate observations, assessments, and progress records
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold high standards across the nursery
• Ensure all health, safety and safeguarding procedures are strictly followed

About You

• Minimum Level 3 full and relevant Early Years qualification
• Exceptional knowledge of child development and the EYFS
• Confident, professional communicator with parents, staff and children
• A natural leader who can inspire, motivate and support a team
• Organised, proactive and able to prioritise effectively
• A genuine passion for creating the best possible start in life for every child
