Little Angels of Leamington Spa is a small, independent, home from home nursery in the heart of Leamington Spa operating 50 weeks per year, providing care and education for children between the ages of 0-5 years. Purpose of the Role

As an Early Years Practitioner you will be responsible for delivering high?quality childcare and early education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports the learning and development of children aged 0–5 years.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare and Education

  • Provide high-quality care and learning experiences in accordance with EYFS requirements.

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that support children’s development.

  • Maintain accurate observations and assessments to inform planning and track progress.

  • Promote children’s independence, confidence, and well-being.

  • Ensure all children’s individual needs are met, including dietary, medical, and emotional needs.

Safeguarding and Welfare

  • Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment at all times.

  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly in line with statutory guidance.

  • Complete an enhanced DBS check and enrol in the update service.

Teamwork and Communication

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent, high-quality provision.

  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children’s progress.

  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

  • Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture.

Operational Duties

  • Follow nursery policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist with daily routines including meals, nappy changing, sleep times, and transitions.

  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, accidents, and medication forms.

  • Ensure the environment is well-organised, clean, and appropriately resourced.
