About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead our nursery team, creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can thrive. The successful candidate will champion high-quality early years practice, support and develop staff, and ensure the nursery meets regulatory and company standards.

Hours & Pay

£38,000 - £40,000 + £5k BONUS OPPORTUNITY - Full time

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and manage the nursery team to deliver outstanding early years practice.

  • Ensure all children receive high-quality care and education, promoting their development and wellbeing.

  • Maintain strong relationships with families, fostering open communication and partnership.

  • Oversee operational standards including health & safety, safeguarding, and hygiene practices.

  • Manage staffing, rotas and day-to-day budgeting within the nursery.

  • Ensure accurate record keeping, reporting and compliance with Ofsted and company policies.

  • Identify training needs and support staff development through coaching, appraisals and team meetings.

  • Promote inclusivity and adapt practice to meet the individual needs of children, including those with additional needs.

Person Specification

  • Level 3 (or above) early years qualification or equivalent; a Level 5/Manager qualification is desirable.

  • Proven experience working in a nursery setting, with experience in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, early years frameworks and Ofsted requirements.

  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

  • A commitment to inclusive practice, emotional intelligence and promoting child-led learning.

  • Ability to manage budgets, staffing and operational duties efficiently.
