The Role

We are seeking an excellent, experienced Room Leader who can motivate and inspire children through play, recognising the power of play-based learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a small team of practitioners.

  • Supporting the development and progress of all children.

  • Nurturing strong, open relationships with staff, children, and families to raise aspiration and improve achievement.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous leadership experience is essential.

  • You MUST hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years Qualification.

Salary is dependent on age and experience.

Safeguarding and Child Protection

Apricot Nursery is dedicated to the safeguarding of all children. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and required to provide references from previous employers.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Leadership: one year (required)
  • Nursery working: two years (required)
  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years Qualification (required).
