We’re looking for an experienced Level 3 Qualified Toddler Room Manager to lead our busy and vibrant toddler room.

As a Room Manager, you’ll combine your passion for early years education with strong leadership skills to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for our toddlers. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the room, supporting your team, and ensuring outstanding care and learning experiences for every child.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the organisation and smooth day-to-day running of the toddler room.
• Act as a key person for a group of children, overseeing observations, assessments, and next steps in line with the EYFS.
• Lead, mentor, and support your room team, ensuring high standards of practice and professionalism.
• Plan, deliver, and oversee engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote toddlers’ physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
• Ensure all practice within the room meets EYFS, safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements.
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents, acting as a key point of contact for your room.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and behaviour management.
• Work closely with the management team to implement nursery policies, procedures, and curriculum goals.
• Support staff development through guidance, feedback, and on-the-job coaching.
• Keep up to date with current early years practice and contribute to continuous improvement within the nursery.

What We’re Looking For

• A relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare recognised by the Department for Education (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or BTEC).
• Previous experience working in a toddler room within an Early Years setting.
• Experience leading a room or supporting staff in a senior role (desirable).
• Strong knowledge and practical understanding of the EYFS.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
• A calm, caring, and confident approach to supporting both children and staff.
• A clear DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional development.

• Lead a well-organised, inspiring toddler room where children feel safe, happy, and confident.
• Plan and review learning experiences based on children’s interests and developmental needs.
• Support and motivate your team to deliver consistently high-quality practice.
• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all children in your care.
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and senior management.
