A warm, community-focused nursery in Nantwich is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join their friendly, supportive team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a vibrant, child-led setting with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, creativity and independence. Practitioners work closely together, meeting regularly to reflect on children’s development and plan meaningful, engaging experiences that support every child to thrive.

About the Setting

  • Approximately 35 children on roll (18–25 per session; quieter during school holidays)

  • 3 rooms:

    • Baby Room (0–18 months)

    • Toddler Room (18–30 months)

    • Preschool (30–60 months)

  • Small group sizes:

    • Babies: max 6 children with 2 staff

    • Toddlers: max 9

    • Preschool: max 16

  • Team of 9 staff (mix of full-time and part-time)

The team culture is lively, welcoming and collaborative, with a strong focus on staff wellbeing and teamwork.

About the Role

  • Full-time, permanent position

  • 38 hours per week over 4 days (8am–6pm)

  • Alternative working patterns of 3 or 5 days considered

  • Initially based in the Toddler Room, with flexibility to support across rooms

  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning activities

  • Contribute to observations, assessments and learning journeys

  • Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment

  • Work in partnership with colleagues and families

What They’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)

  • Confident working with children aged 0–5 years

  • Experience with toddlers or preschool children is advantageous

  • Positive, energetic and creative approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Sound understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
