A welcoming, family-focused nursery in Caterham is looking to expand its small, growing team. This setting is part of a well-known franchise, but is run very much as a home-from-home – warm, nurturing, and built around strong relationships with both children and staff.

With recent expansion and continued growth, the nursery is now seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner. Ideally Level 3 qualified, but Level 2 applicants with strong baby room or toddler room experience will also be considered.

Hours: 8am–6pm (nursery opening hours 7:30am–6:30pm)
Contract: Full-time
Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays
Parking: On-site parking available (subject to daily availability)

About the Nursery

  • Registered for 90 places (currently small, rapidly growing setting)
  • Three well-resourced rooms
  • Small, friendly team of four
  • Strong family ethos — warm, open and highly staff-focused
  • Excellent reputation internally, with current staff describing it as “the best place they’ve worked”
  • Owners committed to creating a supportive and respectful working environment

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to join a setting early in its journey and grow with it.

Benefits & Perks

  • Perkbox access (discounts & perks)
  • Private online GP
  • Free mental health and wellbeing sessions
  • Monthly staff social events
  • Ongoing training and CPD (including franchise training & NoodleNow)
  • 30% staff childcare discount
  • Online systems to reduce paperwork
  • Free breakfast or lunch on payday (last working day of the month)

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (preferred)
  • Level 2 considered with strong baby or toddler room experience
  • Confident, warm and child-focused
  • Able to work effectively within a small team
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
  • Proactive, positive and committed to high-quality childcare

This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit, supportive team and wants long-term progression as the setting continues to grow.
