About us

RAFAKidz is the proud winner of Nursery Group of the Year 2025. We provide high quality, affordable early years childcare and wraparound services to the children of serving RAF personnel and the wider defence community. RAFAKidz is a not-for-profit organisation, reinvesting surplus income to support the RAF community. Our newest setting in central London is one of 21 settings in the RAFAKidz family and opened in April. Based within an exclusive VIP establishment in the heart of Westminster, a few minutes walk from Westminster and Embankment tube stations, our colleagues can benefit from an onsite cafe? and gym.  We offer a ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme for those wishing to  travel by bike on one of the many designated cycle routes.

If you’re a talented, passionate and dedicated childcare professional looking for your next step, our friendly bijou nursery is the place for you! Circa 19 staff look after 38 children and we are proud to announce that we remain fully staffed regardless of the number of children having fun and learning with us every day.

About our Room Leader role

You can expect to be fully ‘hands on’ to create a stimulating and exciting nursery setting. Ideally you will be either an experienced Room Leader or a Level 3 Practitioner ready for your next challenge. As well as the usual responsibilities that you would expect of this role, our Room Leaders are part of our management team and role models to other members of staff. You will encourage and motivate your colleagues to continually demonstrate best practices and support them in their learning journey towards their qualifications. You will have a minimum of one year’s experience working at a level 3 position in an early year’s environment and have a good understanding of the EYFS learning outcomes to plan for children’s learning and development.
