The Role
We are looking for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager and step up to lead in their absence. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be part of the team as well as part of the leadership, making a real difference to both children and staff.

In this role, you will:
- Assist the Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with Ofsted standards.
- Lead and inspire the nursery team, supporting their training, development, and wellbeing.
- Step into the Manager role when required, taking responsibility for staff deployment, health & safety, safeguarding, and daily decision-making.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, ensuring excellent communication and trust.
- Contribute to a high-quality learning environment by supporting the planning and delivery of stimulating activities that follow the EYFS framework.
- Oversee nursery administration such as registers, accident reporting, staffing, and admissions.

What We’re Looking For
- A minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience in a senior nursery role (Deputy, Third-in-Charge, or Room Leader).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support others.
- Knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements.
- Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training (or willingness to update).

Hours & Pay
- Full-time
- Salary:  from £28,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
