Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years. This position requires a nurturing individual who can create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of young children.

Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning through play, ensuring they are age-appropriate and cater to individual needs.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their development.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community.
  • Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and well-organised at all times.
  • Implement safeguarding policies and procedures to protect the welfare of all children in your care.
  • Collaborate with team members to share best practices and contribute to a positive working atmosphere.
  • Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • A recognized qualification in Early Years Education ( Level 3 or above). Experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting is desirable. Strong understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Excellent communication skills
  • both verbal and written
  • with the ability to engage effectively with children and parents. Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. A passion for nurturing children's growth and development in a supportive environment. Enhanced DBS check will be required prior to employment.
