Early years Practitioner

Job summary

We are currently recruiting for full time Early Years Childcare Practitioners. Applicants must be qualified to SVQ level 3 Social Services (Children and Young) or HNC/HND in Child Care or equivalent. A clean PVG and SSSC registration is essential. We require a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our successful team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• To assist in the provision of a high quality education and care service for young children and their parents/carers.
• To contribute to an ethos, this promotes positive behaviour, equality and fairness.
• To deliver a high-quality Curriculum Framework implementing Pre Birth to Three, Realising the ambition-Being me, Curriculum for Excellence, child protection and GIRFEC.
• To work collaboratively with the team to contribute to the planning, organisation, delivery and evaluation of appropriate learning experiences.
• To promote Children’s Learning through play based pedagogy and active learning.
• To work collaboratively as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, to address individual children and family’s specific needs.
• To support and develop parents and carers participation in children’s learning.
• To contribute to continuous improvement and development within the centre, implementing local and national quality assurance frameworks and strategies.
• To undertake appropriate continual professional development, participating in further training and development opportunities.
• To maintain SSSC Registrations and adhere to SSSC codes of practice.
