TFTF Tots, at Think for the Future, is a small-setting workplace nursery providing high-quality childcare for the employees of Think for the Future and families in the local community. Our nursery accommodates up to 9 children aged 2 months to 4 years and works strictly on a 1:3 ratio—regardless of age—to ensure quality and care remain at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a qualified, passionate and dynamic Nursery Practitioner to join our small and creative team for a temporary position, with possible extension, starting in September 2025. You’ll bring your experience and enthusiasm to help run daily routines and implement meaningful, play-based learning experiences that ignite curiosity, imagination, and joy. This role is a unique opportunity to work within a supportive and innovative social enterprise that values wellbeing, professional development, and quality early years education.
Main Responsibilities
Support the daily running of the nursery to ensure it is safe, clean, and welcoming, with well-kept, high-quality resources. Design and implement engaging activities that reflect children’s interests, developmental needs, and early years best practice. Build warm, trusting relationships with children, families, and the wider TFTF team. Make the most of the local community through planned outings and spontaneous adventures. Participate in ongoing professional development to keep your knowledge and practice up to date. Support children with SEND or additional needs with care, respect and professionalism. Maintain accurate records and adhere to all safeguarding and GDPR policies. Work collaboratively with the TFTF Tots team to create a positive, creative and nurturing environment.
