Job summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursery Nurses to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, with a passion for nurturing and supporting the development of young children. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children to thrive.
Duties
- Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
- Support children in their daily routines, including personal care, meal times, and play activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to manage the nursery effectively, demonstrating strong leadership skills when necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication and teamwork.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare.
- Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and the EYFS framework.
- Excellent communication skills in English
- both verbal and written.
- Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences.
- Leadership qualities to manage activities and support fellow staff members as needed.
- A genuine passion for working with children and contributing positively to their growth and development.
