Nursery Deputy Manager

Job summary

Hours:  Hours can be negotiable. Term time only/ all year round positions available 

 

- Salary: Hourly rate £13.50 - £16.50 (will depend on level of experience and level of qualifications)

- 28 days paid holiday

 

Job role 

-To assist with the day to day running of the setting

-To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times. 

-Knowledge of the EYFS 

-To help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times 

- To undertake monitoring and supervisions

- To work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families 

-To understand all nursery policies and procedures

- To support staff

- To be a key person, primarily room based 

-To ensure records are properly maintained 

-To liaise closely with parents/carers, 

-To work in partnership with senior management, eg to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan.

-To complete key children developmental records and other relevant paper work / planning 

- previous experience of working in a nursery setting and a good understanding of the EYFS, with a minimum relevant 3 qualification

-All positions will be subject to an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and references.

-  previous experience of working in a childcare setting.
