Nursery Manager Opportunity – Tiddlywinks Nursery School Heywood
Are you an experienced and passionate early years professional looking to take the next step in your career? Tiddlywinks Nursery School Heywood, a newly purpose-built setting in the heart of Heywood Village, is seeking a dedicated Nursery Manager to join our enthusiastic management team.
Salary: Discussed upon interview process (Dependent on employee availability, qualification and experience.) Between £24,000 - £30,000
Required hours/days: Discussed upon interview process dependent on company requirements and employee availability. Normally 4 - 4 1/2 days per week.

The Role:
As apart of the Nursery Management Team, you will play a vital role in overseeing the smooth running of the nursery, managing staff and ensuring a high standard of care and education is maintained at all times. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to take on a leadership role in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, deploy and support a team of childcare practitioners, ensuring a positive and professional working environment.
- Complying to the Ofsted Handbook.
- Registered as manager with Ofsted.
- Oversee the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring the best outcomes for children’s development.
- Develop and implement TNS policies and procedures to meet regulatory and legal requirements.
- Ensure that safeguarding, health, and safety protocols are always followed.
- Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them updated on their child's progress and ensuring the nursery meets their needs.
- Promote and maintain high levels of parent satisfaction, welcoming parents and families to the setting.
- Prepare for and liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections (e.g., Ofsted).
Skills and Experience:
- Previous 2 years experience in a childcare setting is essential.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a passion for working with children.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure a positive, nurturing environment.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, work with TNS designated safeguarding leads.
- Required Level 3 or higher qualification in early years education, teacher status.
- Previous managerial experience or transferable skills from other industries will be an advantage, especially in leadership or operational roles.
